Established in 1992 specialising in sales and service of spray gun cleaners in Wales & the southwest of England we soon moved on to other areas of equipment for the Automotive Refinishing Industry. Over the years we have gained a wealth of experience. We now are now primarily an e-shop supplying a range of body shop equipment. Our range of Spray Gun Cleaners (manufactured by Hedson Technologies) has been independently certified to meet the New ATEX Safety Regulations that came into force on the 1st July 2003.
The regulations state that all equipment sold for use within a potentially explosive atmosphere must have met a minimum electrical safety standard. Body Shops are required by ATEX to have a plan of the body shop showing all areas and relevant zones i.e. the type of work done in an area and the possible hazard.
All of our Spray Gun Cleaners have been independently certified to Category 2 by Berufsgenossenshaft (BG/Prüfcert 0741)
The Membrane Pump fitted to all of our Spray Gun Cleaners, has achieved certification for Category 1 (use in Zone 0) under the new regulations, which is the most hazardous area possible. The pump is approved and certified by Baseefa (Type Examination Certificate No. Baseefa02ATEX0221).
(Note: In order to certify any category 1. Equipment (zone 0), a Quality Assurance Notification is required from a notified body, in Hedson Technologies case Baseefa. This means that they have "verified" Hedson Technologies system - ISO9001: 2000 to ensure it meets all of the quality requirements.)
Only equipment that has been certified can carry the ATEX logo followed by either category 1, 2, or 3.
The categories and relevant zones:
Category 1 = Zone 0
Category 2 = Zone 1
Category 3 = Zone 2
WARRANTY
Our products carry a warranty from 1 - 5 years depending on Manufacturer with the exception of the pumps fitted to the Spray Gun Cleaners that carry a Lifetime Guarantee.
The pumps fitted to our range of Spray Gun Cleaners, carry a Lifetime Guarantee against faulty materials and workmanship. This guarantee does not apply to fair wear and tear; damage caused by abuse or misuse and it does not apply for Spray Gun Cleaners used in an application for which they were not designed. Warranty limited to the original purchaser.
